In addition to offering our books via the above sites, we accept the following methods of payment:

Paypal (we do have a business account, so you can use a credit card with Paypal)
Personal Check from within the USA (check clearing time can delay order shipment up ten days)
USPS Money Order (we do not accept any other type of money orders; only United States Postal Service)

If you wish to order using any of these methods, please contact us directly to reserve the book(s).

If you choose to send your payment by mail, you must send an email on the day that you mail your check or money order, so that we can reserve the book for you at the current price. Our books are re-priced frequently, and it is highly likely that the price of the book you are purchasing will have changed by the time your payment arrives. However, if you email and let us know the day you mail your payment, we will honor the price that was current on the day you ordered.

If you are ordering more than one book, you may inquire about combined shipping & handling. We may or may not be able to offer a combined shipping discount, depending on the items you are ordering; we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Book ISBNs

We catalog and list our books according to the International Standard Book Number (ISBN), in order to avoid confusion among editions and printings. Please be sure that you are ordering the correct book by double-checking the ISBN number, which can be found on the back of the book underneath the bar code, or on the page just inside the front cover with the publication information.

Book Condition Guidelines & Definitions

The following scale is the one we use when rating book condition:

New. Just like it sounds. Brand new with no marks or flaws whatsoever. (May have a price tag.)
Like New. Never been read, but might be a publisher overstock with a remainder mark. No writing or damage of any kind. Accessories such as CDs or tapes are included (as is the dust jacket if it had one to begin with).
Very Good. Has been read but remains in excellent condition. Might have the previous owner's name, but does not have underlining, highlighting or any other damage. Might or might not have accessories.
Good. In used condition, with minor flaws. May have writing or underlining. Probably does not have accessories.
Acceptable. Well loved, with excessive underlining or highlighting. Books in "acceptable" condition may have damage such as missing dust jackets, torn covers or water stains, but those flaws will be disclosed in the item description. These books usually do not have accessories.

Most of our books are in "Used; Good" condition. This means they may have normal wear and tear such as scuffing, dinged corners, and a previous owner's name inside or even some minor underlining or highlighting. However, they are free of major defects such as water damage, mold, or torn pages.

If the book was issued with accessories such as software CDs, it probably does NOT have those accessories (unless otherwise noted in the description). If it was issued with a dust jacket, it still has the dust jacket (unless otherwise noted in the description). Some of our books are ex-library books, but they must meet the same condition requirements as other used books.

Our books are generally NOT first editions or signed copies (unless the description says otherwise).

We do our best to inspect each and every book to ensure that its condition is rated correctly, but we are only human and we do sometimes make mistakes. If you order a book from us and discover that the condition does not meet these guidelines, please let us know as soon as possible so we can resolve the problem for you.
